Here is another Android phone, the Sony Ericsson Xperia X10 running the almost outdated Android 1.6, versus the evergreen iPhone 3GS which runs the Apple OS.
Obviously, OS versus OS would not do here, so we shall look at the other features of both devices, in particular where there is a substantial difference.
There are two main differences, one on the phone and one in the services. First of all, the Sony Ericsson Xperia X10 has an 8-megapixel camera whereas the iPhone 3GS is still on the 3- megapixel camera.
The difference in service is that the iPhone offers more than 100,000 apps in the Apple AppStore, most of which will cost money to download, whereas the AndroidStore has much less apps, around 10,000 of them, but most of them are free to download.
I suppose that it will come down to whether you want a branded phone to flash around, or if you would rather have a much better camera on the handphone. Beside that, the Xperia X10 is only three-quarters the price of the iPhone 3GS.
